Labadieville Primary Student’s Art Submitted for Louisiana Farm to School Competition

Labadieville Primary School Art Contest Winner Bria Parker

Bria Parker’s artwork that depicts Louisiana agriculture will advance to the state competition for a chance to be included in the 2025 Louisiana Farm to School Calendar.

Labadieville Primary Student Bria Parker has won the Seeds to Success art contest at her school to advance to the state competition with the Louisiana Department of Agriculture.

Parker’s entry, which features a colorful cow, rows of vegetables and a red barn, will be submitted to the state to be in consideration for use for the 2025 Louisiana Farm to School Calendar.  Thirteen entries will be chosen to illustrate the calendar, which will feature fun facts about agriculture in our state.

The Seeds to Success: The Louisiana Farm to School Art Contest is open to all Louisiana public and private school students in grades K-12.  The artwork entered must reflect the theme of Louisiana Agriculture, including showcasing fresh, local food from seed to plate, illustrating growing or enjoying a farm or garden, or celebrating food cultures, learning about food and agriculture or participating in a farm to school activity.
