Local Talent Recognized in Inclusive Art Competition
The Governor's Office of Disability Affairs has announced the winners of the 2023 Inclusive Art Competition, recognizing artists who create artwork that promotes inclusivity and celebrates diversity.
Mya Mollere, a student at Napoleonville Middle School, was awarded first place in the competition. Slade Thibodeaux, also a student at Napoleonville Middle School, was awarded third place. In addition, Patrice Parks, a teacher at Napoleonville Middle School, placed second in the Adult Category.
The Inclusive Art Competition is open to artists of all ages and abilities and aims to promote understanding and acceptance of people with disabilities. The Governor's Office of Disability Affairs will display all winning artwork.
We congratulate Mya Mollere, Slade Thibodeaux, and Patrice Parks on their incredible talent and dedication to reminding everyone of inclusivity and acceptance. We are proud of them for representing us in Assumption Parish.
