Pandemic EBT Benefits

Louisiana will be issuing Pandemic EBT benefits to families of students who have previously qualified to receive free or reduced-priced meals for the 2020-21 school year but have not received those meals due to school closure, hybrid schooling, or virtual schooling situations related to the COVID-19 pandemic. You do not need to apply for benefits. The school district has already sent student attendance data to the state. For each child that qualifies, you will receive one P-EBT card.

Before receiving their P-EBT card, families will receive this letter in the mail from DCFS notifying them that they can expect to receive their cards within 30 days. Eligible students should begin receiving P-EBT cards beginning in late June.

Look to find your child's 7-digit ID number on the top of your child's report card or on the front page of your account in the Student Progress Center at our website to enable your child's benefit card once you have received it.

More details about the Pandemic EBT benefit can be found here: FAQ page.
