School Closures

After consulting with the parish’s OEP office, all Assumption Parish Schools and the School Board Office will be closed Monday, August 24 through Wednesdy, August 26 due to the impending impacts from Tropical Storms Marco and Laura, which are expected to become hurricanes upon making landfall. All school and district activities and events are cancelled during this time.

As of now, we plan for schools and the School Board Office to reopen on Thursday, August 27, 2020. All students in grades K-8 shall report to school on Thursday, with the exception of students enrolled at NPS, NMS, and PPE. Those students will remain on the hybrid schedule through Friday, September 4th. All Assumption High School students will remain on the hybrid schedule until further notice.

Students enrolled in our virtual academy are not required to log in and complete assignments on days when schools are closed.
