Superintendent Announces Community Meetups
Assumption Parish Schools’ Superintendent Jeremy Couvillion announced a series of public meetups around the parish in the upcoming weeks. The meetups have been scheduled and designed for the Superintendent and district administrators to spend a day within each of our communities. The days will begin at 7am with a “Coffee Talk” at an assigned location within the community followed by visits to the local schools. Faculty meetings will begin at 3pm and each day will end with a “Town Hall” meeting at 6pm. All dates, times, and locations can be found below. Mr. Couvillion said that these meetings are focused on building engagement with the community in the decision-making of the school system. “We want everyone in the parish to know their voice is heard and their insight matters when it comes to the education of the children in the parish,” said the Superintendent. Parents, students, business owners, teachers, school leaders, and community members are all encouraged to attend. “We will be sharing our district goals for the next three years, and starting a conversation about how all of our stakeholders can become involved in the success of our schools,” said Couvillion.
