The Assumption Parish School Board is now accepting applications for the following positions. Location assignments for all open positions will be determined at a later date.

Assumption High School Principal - (240 Days)

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Type A / Level 3 certificate; Educational Leader Level 1 certificate (EDL1); Educational Leadership: Administration and Supervision; Master’s degree; Twelve (12) hours of professional education; five (5) or more years of classroom teaching at the elementary/secondary school level; additional criteria as the board may require; minimum requirements as stated in SDE Bulletin 746 (as revised)

Middle/Elementary Principal Pool - (240 Days)

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Type A / Level 3 certificate; Educational Leader Level 1 certificate (EDL1); Educational Leadership: Administration and Supervision; Master’s degree; Twelve (12) hours of professional education; five (5) or more years of classroom teaching at the elementary/secondary school level; additional criteria as the board may require; minimum requirements as stated in SDE Bulletin 746 (as revised)

Academically Gifted and/or Talented (Music, Theatre, or Visual Arts) Teacher – (182 Days)

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  Individual must hold a valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate, meeting the requirements listed in the Louisiana Standards for State certification of school personnel, Bulletin 746, Part Ill, IV, V, VI, VII, IX and X. Minimum requirements as stated in SDE Bulletin 746 (as revised). Minimum of five (5) years successful teaching experience. Master’s Degree preferred. Preferred - Applicants should hold Academically Gifted and/or Talented (Music, Theatre, or Visual Arts) endorsement on LDOE certificate.

Applications must be received in the Assumption Parish School Board Central Office by Friday, May 31, 2019.
