District Offers Seamless Summer Feeding Program
The Assumption Parish School District will participate in the 2026 Seamless Summer Food Program, making free breakfast and lunch meals available for children 18 years and younger at designated school sites on a first-come, first-served basis.
Breakfast will be served at Assumption High School, located at 4880 Highway 308 in Napoleonville, from May 27-June 25 on Mondays-Thursdays from 7:15 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Lunch will be served at two locations – at Assumption High School, May 27-June 25 on Mondays through Thursdays from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; and at Napoleonville Middle School, located at Highway 1008 in Napoleonville, June 1 to June 25 on Mondays through Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Stakeholders of Students with Disabilities Asked to Serve
The Assumption Parish School Board is seeking applications for its Special Education Advisory Panel (SEAP). The online applications are open to parents of students with disabilities, district employees and community stakeholders.
The purpose of the panel is to provide advice and feedback regarding special education policies, procedures and resources. Members of SEAP will engage in outreach activities in the community to increase the level of knowledge, support and collaboration with respect to special education. The panel meets three times per year.
Early Childhood Day Set for June 23
The Assumption Ready Start Network is once again hosting its Early Childhood Day for the greater community. Parents are invited to bring their young children, aged 5 years and younger, to the Assumption Parish Community Center on June 23 from 9 a.m. to noon to enjoy games and learning activities, to win prizes and receive giveaways, and to receive important parenting resources.
During the event, parents can also register their child for one of the district’s early childhood programs, including pre-kindergarten (for 4-year-olds), Head Start (for 3-year-olds), and Daycare (for children 6 weeks to 48 months). Parents can also register their children for any of the programs at the Head Start Office, located at 4891 Highway 308 in Napoleonville, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
