The Assumption Parish School Board seeks an outstanding Superintendent of Schools to lead its public school system of nine (9) schools and more than 3000 students. Applications for the position may be obtained by clicking the link below and are currently being accepted.

Applicants must possess at the time of application a valid Louisiana teaching certificate which documents School Superintendent as an area of certification or possess a letter from the Louisiana Department of Education certifying their immediate eligibility to serve as a school superintendent in Louisiana. Applicants must include proof of such certification within the application.

We will not consider application packets postmarked after that date, nor will applications delivered electronically, in person, or any fashion other than mail to the address above. The Assumption Parish School Board expects to negotiate a competitive salary and benefits package depending on the candidate’s experience, accomplishments, and credentials. The salary range for the position is $115,000 - $140,000 annually. We anticipate that interviews of selected applicants will begin in early July, and the School Board hopes that the individual chosen for the position will be able to start shortly after his/her selection.
