Communication Efforts for District’s Strategic Plan Earn Recognition

Nearly 2,000 communication entries from 37 states and the District of Columbia were reviewed in this year’s NFPW Communication Contest. Winners were announced at the June 25, 2022, Communications Contest Awards Celebration in Fargo, North Dakota.

Assumption Parish Public Schools’ Communication Consultant Delia Adams Taylor, APR, owner of Taylor Media Services, recently received national recognition for the district’s communication campaign that informed the community of its strategic plan rollout, as well as specific recognition for the video outlining the points of the strategic plan. The work was recognized by the National Federation of Press Women (NFPW), a nationwide organization of women and men in communications.  Both the campaign and video won first place in their respective categories in the regional at-large competition, making them eligible to compete in the national competition. The judges lauded the district for its efforts to share such important information with the public in clear, easy to understand ways.
