Assumption Parish Head Start Annual Report to the Public
The Assumption Parish Head Start received $1,211,395 during the 2021-2022 fiscal year in our Non-Competing Continuation grant. The budgetary funding year follows the Assumption Parish School Board’s funding year.

RESULTS OF THE MOST RECENT REVIEW
From October 22, 2018, to October 26, 2018, the Administration for Children and Families conducted a Focus Area 1 (FA1) monitoring review of the ASSUMPTION PARISH SCHOOL DISTRICT Head Start program. This report contains information about the grantee's performance and compliance with the requirements of the Head Start Program Performance Standards or Public Law 110-134, Improving Head Start for School Readiness Act of 2007. Assumption Parish Head Start was found compliant in all areas of the monitoring.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT ACTIVITIES
The Assumption Parish Head Start program offers parents opportunities to attend workshops, serve on committees, network with local agencies to meet their families’ needs concerning education, health, social-emotional, and safety issues, and take an active role in the program governance, and volunteer in the centers.
READY FOR KINDERGARTEN
The Assumption Parish Head Start program prepares its children to be ready for kindergarten success by hiring highly qualified personnel, immersing children in a research-based curriculum, following federal and state mandates, attending to the social-emotional needs of our children, and analyzing data to make informed decisions to meet the individualized needs of our children. Assumption parish head start works daily to promote school readiness goals.
