As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we would like to assure you that students of Assumption Parish Schools will continue to receive instructional resources during the summer months. Beginning next week, schools will distribute workbooks, along with report cards and school supply lists, for students in grades K-8th. Online resources are available to our high school students. If students have limited or no access to those resources, please contact the staff at Assumption High School. Assumption High will be mailing report cards to students.

Our team is eager to begin school on August 10th. We are developing various implementation scenarios with detailed plans to continue instruction while ensuring the safety of all of our students, faculty, and staff. The scenarios are:

• Onsite learning for all students

• At home learning for all students

• Hybrid learning for all students – a mixture of onsite and distance learning

We will also offer virtual learning to supplement each scenario mentioned above for students who are limited in participating in one of the scenarios. We are also developing safety protocols throughout our planning to transport and feed our students daily. Please understand that all of the plans are subject to change as a result of guidance from federal, state, and local officials.

As we strive to continuously educate the children of Assumption Parish during these uncertain times, our priority is to provide our students with a curriculum aligned with the standards adopted by the State of Louisiana. We will also monitor the progress of our students by administering extensive diagnostic and benchmark exams. Our team will address any regressions or deficiencies through interventions and extended learning initiatives.
